Seems there's been a scare on QF142 this morning. Returned to AKL after a suspicious package was found and according to one bit of news on TV the passengers are being held at a secure gate with everyone evacuated.

Latest reports are that it was a part of the plane that's not normally visible.

Do we have anyone on the scene?

Interestingly it was just part of the plane that caused the scare.

Maybe, just maybe, someone had the audacity to rest their feet on the bottom part of the door while sitting in the exit row, causing the cover to become dislodged and expose the gas canister!

:) :) :)

From what I'm reading, that was the part that was seemingly found. On AVHerald someone said the pilots didn't come out either, so they couldn't see the part that was in question.
