To be honest, sounds exactly as you describe - reasonably well handled with a few niggles - not bad given they're trying to sort 300-400 people at short notice.

The niggles you describe are pretty standard for this type of situation - the joys of travel.

Well done on calling and re-arranging the flight to a more suitable (to you) time.
 
The wheels are definitely falling off. QF128 on Monday was delayed by 26 hours. Imagine the joy of the pax when they watched the next day's QF128 departing on time, before their own flight.
