Hi all

I am flying on QF11 this week. As a (relatively new) WP, I am trying to maximise my F lounge time. I recall reading somewhere (probably on AFF) that check-in for LAX flights opens 4hrs (as opposed to the usual 3hrs) before the flight. Is that correct?

Also, I've applied for an upgrade from J to F for myself and my partner (she is SG). The request was put in 147 days ahead. Anyone hazzard a guess as to the chance of success? I'm already looking forward to flying in J as I don't do it much internationally, but quietly have my fingers crossed for an F upgrade as I've never done it before!

Cheers

Checkin opens 4 hrs before.

Fly to BNE the night before, then on the day fly down from BNE on a 6am flight an check bags right through.

Then you can go straight to the F lounge and maximize your enjoyment :)

If you have no checked luggage, you can check in as early as you want, otherwise 4 hrs for flights to US. Even if it is your first visit 4 hours is more than enough time to enjoy the Syd F lounge.

I do get a bit board after a 3 hours in Flounge.

You can only eat so much and depending what time the flight is I struggle to drink too much in the morning.

Breakfast, massage, shower, relax, lunch, relax, etc.... ;)
