Hi,

Can anyone please confirm if they have been on this flight, QF11 departing on Sundays Syd-LAX, i read that you are only served Lunch on this 14 hr flight, the flight departs at 3pm sydney time and arrives in LAX at 9am.....

Surely they dont just serve one meal on this long haul flight and lunch, wouldnt they serve dinner and breakfast prior to arrival into LAX in the morning????

Transpacific East bound, these flights serve a "Substantial" dinner and breakfast.

I was on this flight 18 months ago on a Monday and I can confirm dinner and breakfast were served in WHY. I also seem to recall snacks were handed out as well.

QF 107 is even worse. Leaves around midday and a couple of hours later they serve a meal. Later on they hand out the dreadful "Snack on Q" bag, then nothing until breakfast just prior to arrival in LAX.

My advice is to pack your own snacks.

2 options:

(1)(United serve a middle meal (or they did last time I checked) in economy which is a cold sandwich/burger thingy with some snacks, fruit and a drink so that is 1 option

(2) Obtain an upgrade to business (or even premium economy i think) using your points and they will make you unlimited toasted sandwiches

Flew this last week in J - a decent dinner and a decent brekky. Didn't even feel the need to call for a toasted sandwich (they're really good!) as I slept for so long. :)

2 meals may not seem like a lot, but I find it's plenty. there's always the snack bar if you get hungry, which looked pretty well-stocked in Y (economy).

On a side-note...those bars don't exactly go hand-in-hand with the "no congregating" rule. You could tell the FA's wanted to ask us all to sit down, but we just said we were all waiting for the bathroom. :D

Cheers,
- Febs.
