Does anyone know why QF10 has been cancelled this afternoon? Pretty sure I saw the 787 take off as I was arriving at the airport, there had been an earlier warning the flight was delayed. I wonder if the onward flight to LAX will be affected.

QF768 is going to be packed now.

There's a reposition flight scheduled for 1900 - QF6001, same time as the original delay. I'm guessing it's going back empty to Melbourne.

Sounds like it was a minor u/s they didn't want pax onboard for.

Or they have fixed it but already accommodated everyone on earlier services because they were unsure of how long the delay would be.

As for the LAX flight - they would have cancelled it already if it was the same aircraft. I guess there's a replacement at MEL.

EDIT: It seems QF9 sent over an A330 today, so the QF6001 is probably that one going back. I guess they'll use the PER jet to go back to LHR, and the jet in MEL will operate QF95.

The QF9 B787 today went Tech so that would explain the shuffling around (my dad was at the airport and heard them discussing it at checkin)
