QF1.. Why is it leaving later than scheduled?

Can anyone tell me as to why
QF1 SYD-BKK-LHR
Due to depart SYD @18:05 AEDST
Is constantly departing late?
For the past month,departure has been as late as 22:15 hrs.
That's 4 hrs later than advertised time.
All I can be told is "it's due to an operational problem"
Are there any entitlements with these delays passengers can get from an Australian departure point ?
Any help appreciated.

You probably won't get anything from your travel insurance, as it's under 6hrs. Also, the airline will generally only give a food voucher for that sort of delay...

QF1 is often late due to the late arrival of the operating aircraft (often the 744 that operates QF64 JNB-SYD goes on to operate QF1 SYD-BKK), maintenance requirements or crewing problems.
