Now that the kangaroo route is going via SIN again, is anyone booked in F on QF1/2 in the near future who can report on the experience?

No F lounge and guessing no F treatment. I'm sure some of us here would hope otherwise.
Champagne like in LHR?
Maybe a roped off area in the J-level lounge like some other airlines do :D

Our F service onboard is so good that you don't need a F lounge on the ground ;)

The Flounge showers I found to be rather unventilated and steamy - not a place to linger; I would not miss them. However, the remainder of the DXB First Lounge is where it's at :D

There's never a queue, though, and I'm a leisurely showerer, particularly with little proper sleep! The last time I was in SIN, it was packed.

I shall watch this thr as with interest. The DXB F Lounge was pretty fantastic when I was last there, I shall miss it.

Slightly OT but can anyone report if QF have improved the food offering in the SIN lounge?

The quality and quantity (size) of the a la carte offerings have dropped away significantly since the 380 last visited SIN. The buffet options have also been enhanced on multiple occasions over the years.

No more QF SIN F lounge does put a downer on things.
If I was flying that route, and had the $ for an F service, I would book the flight using EK but with a QF flight number, at least then there will be access to the EK SIN J/F lounge.
J lounges no matter what, are not as good as F lounges.
Also the EK service with the inflight bar is a good time waster on a flight. O/T ((Loved that on my flights Au - NZ and will be sorely missed on flights to AKL.))

The EK SIN lounge, as with all EK lounges outside DXB, is a J lounge. It might have Champagne and better food than QF but it is still a J lounge.

I disagree. F showers often have a wait list. Last month from QF9 there were 4 waiting for a shower in front of me, and no buzzer system to call you.

My experience this week, the F treatment at SIN lounge consists of
- reserved seats, escort to these seats
- wait service at these seats (food & drinks), was fairly attentive (glass hardly empty before refill offered)
- special drinks (like LHR lounge)

Does the F treatment extend to WPs?

Perhaps the bubbles, but otherwise no.
Unfortunately even the bubbles tend to be reserved for CL/P1/F. So no FLounge is a major downgrade for WP passengers (not flying F) if you value having real champagne in a lounge.

I'm genuinely interested why people still chose QF F over other carriers on this route.

Here is my logic: If using QF points I’ll book EK F as they offer better overall product. If paying cash or using other programme’s miles I’ll book SQ F/R or EY F/Appartments or even TG F. Unless one flys on company coin and the employer insists on QF, what’s the logic for choosing an inferior product?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Some don't like flying via ME, some don't like not having Pork on the menu on some carriers, some do prefer to be flying the national carrier.

I've flown F via DXB and I liked the onboard experience. It's definitely a step up from QF J. I haven't flown F on other carriers but it would be nice to one day.

From what I've read the F product on various airlines have their Pros and Cons.

At the risk of getting flamed, one could question why even choose QFA for international full stop? I'm pretty sure on every major international route there is a competitor who outperforms QFA in many ways.

Most people know this, and ultimately vote with their wallet. There's a reason SIA has 4+ flights daily to the three major cities in east coast of Australia, vs. Qantas lucky to have 1-2 flights in some cities (for example).
