OK i thought i would post this as I had a bad start to today, flying MEL-SYD, this week on QF.

My bad start was my trusty Antler bag, which has done well over 200 flights with me, broke. The extension bar for the handle sheared through when i dropped it. Needless to say i was upset as i can't seem to find this roller bag anywhere. Hopefully i can fix it.

Anyway my day did get better. I was on QF412 at 07:30 this morning, 767 service flying in Y. Walked up and breezed through the priority boarding lane with a few people in the normal. Walked up to the plane door and was greeted by the CSM, who welcomed me by name, and immediately offered me a newspaper. So i grabbed one and sat down. A few minutes later i saw the CSM walking through the cabin and speaking to a few people. Before I knew it he stopped at me, welcomed me onboard again by name and offered me a bottle of water. It was like he was going up to all the WP/CL's.

When breakfast was rolled out again I was addressed by name and asked if I wanted breakfast. Nice bubbly smile and voice. Most impressed. On disembarking, more of the smiles and have a good day..

I really hope this happens more often, it's been the first time in a long time travelling in Y that you have been make to feel so welcome (regardless of airline as I've yet to receive anything like that from VA). So to Qantas, please train the rest of your FA's to this level as they were superb this morning!

Are you sure it was not all a dream?

I've had this happen a few times, but certainly not consistently. maybe 25% of QF Intl services and 10% of QF Dom services

I've always had it on INT services, but never on domestic in Y.

It's the little things like this that make all the difference. How terrific.I wonder if it's a result of AJ's special customer training? If I may make a suggestion: drop a quick line to QF to commend the CSM -- and thereby affirm the behaviour as hopefully standard practice.
