Hi there
I'm flying qf internationally out of Brisbane tomorrow morning.

I haven't flown internationally out of brisbane since before the Ek lounge was built.

Which is the better option to pass the time before the flight? Ek or qf?

I don't have to think twice for this one. The QF lounge at BNE International is a dump. It badly needs a revamp whereas the EK lounge is spacious, modern and has everything going for it. It's a bit of a walk to get there but well worth it. The Veuve is always chilled

Yes, one doesn't even have to think about it. EK wins hand down. EK lounge is excellent - nice food and wines with boarding direct from the lounge, which after the '5 KM' walk is good! :)

Unfortunately the QF lounge is to be avoided if you can. It's about time they renovated it and provided customers with proper food.

What hours is the EK lounge open? Is it open for QF51? How about when QF51 becomes a 12:15pm departure later in the year?

Ah sorry. Not paying attention. The EK lounge is way at the end of the concourse so it would take you quite a while to get back to the QF boarding gates which is (in my experience) at the other end of the corridor.

The EK lounge is open for the 9 pm flight but not sure of the opening hours.

I'm sold!

In 12 hours time I'll be sipping Veuve in the EK lounge.

Thanks all :)
