Not really surprising news.

Qantas (QF) said it will increase frequencies to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and capacity on Perth (PER)-Melbourne (MEL) flights, in response to growing demand for premium travel to PER for both business and leisure passengers.

Services between Sydney (SYD) and DFW will go to daily from July 1, the Australian carrier said in a statement.

QF also announced it will increase Airbus A330 services on its PER-MEL route from Oct. 15. Airbus A330 services will rise to 68 from 44, replacing flights operated by Boeing 767s while services operated by internationally configured A330s will increase to 37 per week from 12.

Yes, 18th saw a PR piece:

Qantas will increase the frequency of its services between Sydney and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) to daily services from 1 July 2012.

Qantas began flying to DFW in May 2011, giving visitors from across North America unprecedented access to Australia via one of America’s leading hub airports. After launching the route with four flights per week, frequencies were increased to six per week in January – and will now move to daily, reflecting strong demand for the services.

The route is served by a three-class Boeing 747-400ER. Outbound services from Australia operate direct from Sydney to DFW, while return services operate via Brisbane.
