It would be as per the earning table, which only lists a handful of fare types as eligible.

Pretty much it. Needs to be in Y,B,H or K and if onewWorld fare, L as well.

As it has been pointed out, it would need to be one of the fare classes listed on the earning table otherwise the answer is no SC or points...
