QF Sydney int to dom transfer

So yesterday arvo, jumped onto the QF bus out of T1 bound for T3. Whilst getting our boarding passes scanned was told there's gonna be a bit of a delay of the bus departing due to lightning activity in the area.
Didn't worry us at all, but WTF?

Airport shuts down when there is a lightning storm.. No movements.
