QF SYD-SCL rtn $1037 for travel until August 2015

I've never seen prices to South America this low. QF are doing SYD-SCL and return for $1037 for travel on selected dates in June, July and August. So, if you think you'd like to go to Chile in the next few months, now's the perfect time to book!

Santiago I notice is $5070 return in J. Got it for $4k in February but that of course doesn't bear to Y prices now.

Excellent Y pricing but only if one can travel pretty last minute. If they offered that year round, of course certain busier periods might be priced higher, I would probably book one of these fares - and this is coming from someone who really doesn't fly Qantas anymore.

Unfortunately it's only 80 SCs. However on some days, one can travel via AKL on QF/LA but all on QF numbers for an extra 15 SCs at only $4 more.

It is. But SYD-SCL only earns 40 SCs in discount Y.

I found some dates where LAN is also offering flights for $1034: depart 17/7, return between 27/7 and 30/7. This may interest those who want to credit to AA instead. An extra $4 will allow travel SYD-AKL on EK A380 with QF or EK code, or AKL-SYD on NZ

I should point out that only the outbound SYD-SCL flight needs to be by the end of August. It seems to me that you can return after then for the same price.

Great deal, if only I had the time, leave (and money). Would be a great alternative to a week getaway to an Asian destination.

Visit some wineries, Valparaiso perhaps.
