I just got this email survey. Anyone else get it?


Dear SDTRAVEL,
We're always working to improve the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and an important part of this is understanding what our members think. To help us with this, we'd appreciate 10-15 minutes of your time to rate the program and provide some feedback.

If others are getting it perhaps we can group source some of the feedback. I havent opened it to know what the questions are.
I see some old threads here with the same topic but they are all closed. Is this something QF targets people with every so often? Or is everyone getting this?
 
I got this as well and answered it before I saw this thread. Most of the question involved direct comparisons with Virgin, so it may indicate a degree of concern.

I wasn't enormously complimentary.
 
I just got this email and survey link, so here are a couple of the questions and my answers:

Q: What would make you love the Qantas Frequent Flyer program?
A: The ability to have Family Pooling would make me (and my family) travel more on QF. Whenever we go anywhere as a family, we fly VA. A Lifetime Platinum status credit hurdle that was achievable, as the 75K hurdle is laughable and has dis-engaged me from crediting many flights on QF once I reach Lifetime Gold (less than 1K to go).

Q: Do you have any further comments regarding your evaluations on 'credibility' of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program?
A: Regarding the recent announcement ("biggest overhaul in QFF history"), the additional award inventory has to come from somewhere and it will (most likely) come from deep discount economy fare buckets. That means the overall average cost of a revenue ticket will increase! Clever, but the more astute frequent flyer is aware of how the program runs. Credibility lost for mine. [with thanks to @trippin_the_rift for his excellent summation]

Q: Do you have any further comments regarding your evaluations on 'credibility' of the Velocity Frequent Flyer program?
A: They've still got credibility and now should take advantage of the opportunity presented to them on a platter by QF

Q: You gave a rating of 9 for likelihood to recommend the Virgin Velocity loyalty program to friends. Why did you give this rating?
A: They have Family pooling, generally better pricing for flights as well as scheduling for places I visit (BNE/ADL a perfect example), friendlier staff both on the ground and in the air, they have always properly "policed" the priority boarding line as well as Business Class toilets for J class pax (how a simple magnetic 'rope" across the aisle works a treat, yet QF is still clueless)
 
Debating to whether I will reply to the survey email or not... Least they could have done is offer 15 points if your answers didn't qualify....

Yep I also got it, and gave them very similar feedback to QF WP. In the space of a year, I’ve moved from rusted on QF fan girl to very disengaged. The latest changes are pretty funny. I also thought it odd that this survey asked questions about award flight availability and fees/charges when the new changes haven’t even really started yet. Hope they listen. But then again, they rarely have in the past. Except to us all asking for LTP to which they have given a massive middle finger salute.

Anyone else received one of those QFF emails today with the “Tell us what you think” surveys? I’ve not opened the survey yet. Curious if there’s any insights on the topic/ideas this one is focussed on.

I usually always try and include the paucity of premium award seat availability and hefty surcharges but you don’t always get that option.

I got one.

Earning, redeeming, partners, qantas shops (wine/store etc), value of program. Takes about 15min.

Yep. Just completed it. One of more generic versions as opposed to ones that float “enhancement” ideas.
