Hi All,

Just went to book a flight SIN-LHR on the Singapore Qantas site.

I noticed that the super saver and flexi saver booth claim to be classed as discount economy when awarding status credits. Is this correct? I don't get any other option, so is there any way to get full economy credits?

Thanks

On this occasion, I believe the website is correct.

See here:

For international flights, Qantas Economy is class Y.

To earn status credits at the full economy rate on international flights, you need to book into Y. These fares will almost always be hugely expensive and definitely not worth it.

Do you really need full economy SCs? If so, then you are probably better off booking premium economy as a full Y airfare is going to be more expensive.

Plus I don't think the QF Singapore website sell full Y airfares so you will need to call Qantas.

Thanks folks... That was a bit of a stupid question - don't book many international flights so assumed the SC's are the same and the problem was the SIN site, but obviously not...

You're right Y will probably not be worth it.

Next stupid questions - how do I get Y+ to come up from the booking engine???

Does that work from the singapore site?

I can see it from the Aussie site, but not from the singapore one...

Depends on where you are flying to and what plane is beig used - if Y+ is not available on the plane, then it won't show, obiously.

I just looked at the Singapore site - selected to fly to LHR - and then was able to chose Y+ option.
