QF Signs new Spa Contract at T3 LHR

When myself and my wife left LHR travelling First early May I asked about the service when checking in. Received a booking just before departure. We both had a great treatment. At that stage it still was not advertised and if not for this thread would not have know about it - so thanks very much to everyone.

Harking back to my 27 May post, I think one of the factors that led to my less than seamless experience was that I was in transit through LHR (T5 to T3, short haul Europe connecting with QF back to Oz), so had no contact with the F Check In staff at T3.

I'm interpreting your post as saying that you enquired with the T3 F Check In staff. That may be the trick required. As a matter of interest, did you each receive a full half hour treatment?

Correct - enquired with the T3 F check in staff. Still was not advertised as far as I was aware. Allocated a booking just before boarding and the treatment was only for 15 minutes or thereabouts. Not sure if the booking had been earlier r we would have received a longer treatment or not.

You should be able to book a treatment with the Qantas staff located in the BA First Lounge.

Complimentary treatments are all short but can be upgraded at own cost, same as DXB.
My appointment was made by the First Host when contacted by me at check-in T3.
I elected to upgrade to a full facial on arrival.
Bit odd that it doesn't appear to be on the QF website.
Although the Spa is certainly not a patch on the SYD experience it would be a shame if it was removed due to poor uptake by passengers.

Useful link, thank you, PF.
And I agree with you on the take-up, so will have another go on my next visit to T3 in a few weeks.
Will again be in Transit, so won't have access to the F Host at Check In, but will see if the QF rep in the Lounge has caught up with the service offering and can arrange a booking. On my last visit, in early May, nobody in the Lounge knew anything of the service. Hopefully, that has now changed. :)

Thankyou :)
The QF rep in the lounge should be able to arrange this and if not put you through to the First Host in LHR.
I'd love to know what you think, here's a couple of pics

Thanks for the pix, PF.

I did actually have a chance to see the Lounge back in May. (See my post #39)

A LONG time standing at the Reception Desk, as umpteen reasons why I could not have access were trotted out :) -
and a BRIEF time in the Treatment room, after I eventually wore down all their resistance - and survived the mortification of the eligibilty debate being played out in public in the entry area. :)

As you can imagine, it was not exactly a relaxing start to the session - and the ten minute treatment was over too quickly to allow a real appreciation. I was not given the option of extending by paying a supplement, either, to extend the session - but next time, thanks to your posts, I will be much better informed. (As might be the QF reps in the Lounge. :))

Let's all keep trying, whenever the opportunity presents.
