when i do a search via "awards & upgrades" EF sends me back an error message (searching at the approx 353 day cut off for QF), however when i do a search via "flight availability" i see the booking class that corresponds to that particular award seat.

edit: and another one, i can see P availability on EF for a particular date, but QF doesn't show it on the awards calendar/ day

any ideas why?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Expert flyer uses different methods to gather availability. It would seem the main GDS used by E/F only shows availability, seat maps etc 330 days out.

If you don't specify QF as the airline in "Flight Availability", you can't see that 353 days availability.

There is no such option for seat maps, so they can only be done 330 days out.

That is no longer the case. Availability, and Awards are available as far out as QF makes the schedule available. For example:

Seat Maps will again be available beyond 330 days once a bug is fixed with our primary GDS and we can switch back to it (it supports seat maps beyond 330 days)
