Travelled QF29/30 two weeks ago. Seems the A330 is getting a little bit tired, good flights and crew. If you can use the CX Wing lounge, excellent but not as good as the MEL FLounge

Applies from SYD as well. Premium dates over Xmas seem to be available e.g depart 22nd Dec and return 4th Jan.

Seems like you can for a touch more.
I did a search in August and while the cheapest price ($3525) was the direct on the 333, for $3567 you can go via Syd on the 388.
A tempting offer. Hmmmmm.

Yes you can. Or go SYD to BNE to HKG and return. only about $100 more and yet yields 80 SCs more.
You'd miss out on the SYD 1st lounge though and have to start earlier. But 80 x SCs is an interesting thing.

I wonder if you can book the J as per this deal and then "change" the flight to a F class for a nominal fee ?
I recall someone on here was able to change a HKG JASA to a FASA for about ~$250 per way, or maybe a fee that low would only apply to point redemptions and not revenue fares and to change something like this promo would require you to pay the full fare difference ?

This is a paid booking and any fare changes would be difference in price + potential other fees.
