{Apologies in advance for any ill-informed assumptions!}

I know that its possible to top up with up to 20,000 points from Qantas, with certain restrictions.

However ... is there any other way to get hold of another 15,000 points (need 35,000 all up) - "instantly" - ie: not getting a new credit card and waiting 3 months, etc?

I think I know the answer! :(

(And I can't do a points transfer from a family member, etc)

I know there was a Qantas Cash promotion before that would gain points, but that, like most offers, was "targeted" - and I'm never that kind of "target"!

There is no other instant method.

Buying wine from Qantas may be your quickest option.

Thanks for that! Can anyone confirm the points are "instant" (unlike the "up to six weeks" it says on the website?)

Might have to buy a lot of wine I wouldn't otherwise buy! Not good value for points, but better than paying for the fare!

(Oh, and ... the bonus points are multiplied per case I assume, not one bonus per order?)

PS: Is joining "premium" instant upon purchase of the "premium membership"? (So I can get the 3x points earn straight after that)

Joining should be instant, but unsure as it's been a while.

My bonus points from a case usually post pretty quickly!

I have found that points usually post on the day after ordering, so not exactly 'instant' if that's what you are after but certainly they post before they send you the wine (which usually takes a few days to arrive) and well before most of the other point generating options.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks to everyone concerned.

The points did indeed come through in under 24 hours. (As it turned out, the seat availability ended up being a few days longer than I'd imagined, but better that way round!) (And the points top up was not cheap, but 20K is better value than the lesser amounts).

Wines weren't what I'd normally pick, but great value for the points!
