I seem to remember there have been previous postings that where the flight is a day time flight (in this case depart around 11am, land at 6:30pm), the PJs are not provided.

Yes I think on day flights they are not provided per se, but there's a chance asking may yield some if there's any on board.

I think I was offered PJs on a recent HNL-SYD daytime flight (QF4).

I was in the "F" section in the nose, so perhaps not all J was offered. Not many people took them.

I think there’s a specific flight time upon which PJs are offered. All I know is HK is still too short for them.
The crew will probably also not give them out as only enough for the flight back is packed on board (with only a few spares)

PJs were offered on QF128 from HKG this week, but I don't believe they were offered on QF127 to HKG the last time I flew it.

I’m MEL based so only flew QF29/30. Didn’t get the PJs on the 29

I flew QF129 on 31 Jan and no PJs offered. Looking at the time you posted your question I was in the air on said flight.

to HK no PJ, from HK you get PJs. Pretty much if night flight then you get PJs, day flight you don't.

Having never gotten at QF day flight to Asia, and not taking PJs even when offered, I have no experience of said flights, but I have see this question asked a number of times in a number of places.

From reports, it would seem that PJs are not automatically offered on the mid haul day flights, however the aircraft is likely to have them stocked as they will be needed for the return leg. Asking crew will often result in a set being provided.
