QF or EK?

Flying SIN-SYD-BNE / BNE-SIN on QF#, booked in J.
I'm LTG with QF, but I'm also EK Platinum.

Would EK Plat status get me into QF F in SIN?
I don't care about missing out on status credits (as lifetime), and at this point EK miles are more valuable than QF points to me.
I'm wondering if there are any other nuances I need to consider when switching the # on the bookings.

Any ideas, thoughts, comments?

Think I could show EK# for lounge access, but credit to QF?
If you want to credit to EK, have your WP Skymiles number on the booking.

As WP with Skywards, the Qantas first lounge would be available for you on a QF flight number.

Note that Business on QF with also give access to the often better Qatar lounge, irrespective of any frequent flyer number in the booking.

Previously I would've suggested to input the EK number on the booking all the way until you're in the F lounge, then use AY MMB to switch over to QF... but as of earlier this year, AY MMB will no longer bring up Amadeus itineraries that don't include an AY flight, unfortunately.

I think you can still switch FF numbers using the RAM, RJ and possibly UL MMBs, but don't have any first hand experience on whether these work after check-in. I have a QF international flight next weekend and can test then if you're not flying beforehand?

I hahve connecting sectors with MH, and that dones't jive with EK obviously.

Maybe I'll hit up MH for Platinum status match.
That would make it easy!

It is your flight from SIN which is important for Changi lounge access.

The following assumes your are travelling out of Singapore on QF*Qf business class.

If you want to earn EK Skywards miles, set that as your Frequent flyer number.

You would then have access the the following lounges if open:

. Qatar Lounge
. Qantas First
. Emirates lounge
. QANTAS International lounge

In KUL you have access to the MH business lounges on class of service basis.

There is something sweet about using EK in a QR lounge. I like it.

The earlier question was whether it was possible to use EK Plat for status benefits but credit to QFF - it sounds to me like this is the preference, but perhaps I'm misunderstanding.
