I need to travel HKG-PER-HKG in May 2008. Apologies for the semi-rant.

Not unsurprisingly the site does not offer the alternative of using CX flights - rather routing via SYD on the days that QF doesn't fly direct HKG-PER. A more modest complaint is why the routing HKG-SIN-PER is not offered on the days there are no direct QF flight. At least one HKG online TA shows this as a valid option on QF fares. :(

But from HKG my real question (what fare classes are RedEDeals) seems to have surfaced again. Because that is the fare being offered. But crediting to AA I really would prefer a Vclass (or higher) fare whatever the routing. And Zuji is showing the lowest available fare exHKG as V class.

Is this the same situation as exSIN where the lowest fares actually are Vclass? And continuation of QF minimizing the benefits of exAustralia purchasers?

Is it worthwhile commenting again to QF that if they wish other oneworld FF members to use their website that the real fare basis should be displayed somewhere before payment? I seem to recall one of QFs partners recently relenting in this area.

Happy wandering

Fred

PS

Last question

Why is 23 Apr-04 May 2008 a higher cost travel season exHKG?

I would use the ITA travel tool, it matches QF fares exactly in my recent expereince. (booking ex NRT/KIX & SIN) ITA Software: Login
That way you can get all the fare details and rules.

Or if you have time just ring QF and ask, they seem always to be helpful within reason.
