I am in the unfortunate position (family illness) of having to cancel one leg of a return flight, the outbound segment.
I have rebooked the outbound as a separate flight, not knowing at the time the problems it would create. I therefore need to cancel just the outbound leg of the original journey. My travel agent says this cannot be done and i will have to cancel the whole lot.
Qantas tell me it can be done but only by the travel agent who booked the flight. They have to ring them and then they will do it.
I dont want to end up being a "no show pax" and end up in Hong Kong with no flight home or a $500 fine for missing the outbound segment.
I am not looking for recompense. I just want to being able to get my flight back.
Looking for advice. Thanks
