QF on line awards bookings

Is it just me or do others have problems using QF's on line booking system for multi city Classic reward flights?

I'm trying to book BNE-HKG-FRA-ORD-BCN-SIN-BNE in J.
I have enough FF points.
To the best of my knowledge this fits within the 35000k limit.
I'm using QF, CX, AA, BA, so meet the 2 or more OW airline rule.

Yet every time I try and make a booking, even changing dates, cities etc, I get an error message from QF.

If I try and make it an RTW booking, even ticking the QF Classic etc "rewards" box, I'm directed to the QF OW booking engine which then wants to charge me the normal OW fare for an RTW J ticket.

I'd appreciate any advice if I'm doing something wrong or is it just the QF website?

It is very frustrating. Am I being cynical in thinking it's a way of getting customers to book through a QF agent, thus incurring the "chat" fee?

QF multicity only handles three cities after departure, you need to ring and book for the sort of trip you want to do.

Thanks Markis10. I've never noticed that before - are you sure? Perhaps I'm logging on to the wrong page. If you are indeed correct (and I can't argue with that), I'm correct in being cynical as, in this day and age, there is no reason for more than 3 cities not to be included. QF really is rubbish! It's rapidly curing me of bothering about FF points.

The webpage does allow you to add cities to the literary, after all, as I was able to list all those cities and preferred dates. Why do that if you can't proceed?

You can certainly select more that 3 as indicated by the Blue elipse:

I think the new engine was meant to have improvements, still not great.

I tried again and once more was able to choose a few flights before getting this screen:

Sorry - I don't think that worked! Try this. It's just weird. Don't bother with the booking engine if it doesn't work. As I said, I think it's just a ploy to get you to spend an extra $60 or $70 or whatever it is to talk to someone. at QF. After all, Joyce will need all the money he can get to fight the potential Virgin lawsuit. (I read they were "seeing their lawyers").
