If I check in online but don't have access to a printer ie hotel, can I then print my boarding pass using Quickcheck at the AP?

Once you checkin online you cannot use Quick check to print a boarding pass.

Just go to a checkin counter or QC lounge to get a boarding pass.

In that case I won't bother with OLCI if no printer handy and only carry on. Thanks for the answer John.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

To maximise you chances for the best seat, you should OLCI anyway. You still get your chosen seat at the QP service desk.

On the subject of OLCI and boarding passes on a recent flight from BNE-PER i used OLCI and to my dismay was shown seats towards the rear of the aircraft (i am QF Gold with forward aisle preference). I called Qantas and expressed my dismay at the seat available to myself. They said they would make a note of it against my booking.

When I arrived at the airport i asked for exit row seats (my wife was flying with me and not linked to my booking - too hard basket for Carlson Wagonlit my company travel provider). Ticket was HOX basis. Was pleasantly surprised when told we were both upgraded to Business class. So off the the QC with a grin (my first ever op-up)

Whilst sitting in the QC i get an announcement to go to front desk. Mr_matt we are pleased to give you an upgrade to Business for this flight - boarding pass was handed to me (only 1). Hang on my wife and I were already upgraded at check-in. A few bewildered looks from behind the counter and then an oh OK. (actually changed seats in the process from row 3 to row 1)

How could this happen?

I don't know, but if someone from Qantas can explain it, could they also explain why I received an e-mail addressed to "Ms Kwok" alerting her that her claim for missing FF points had gone through? :D :D

I sent a reply...haven't heard back yet.

Cheers,
- Febs.
