For some years now I have noted that when you book a QF award ticket on a Jetstar-operated flight, the e-ticket shows the correct baggage allowance (20kg), yet the confirmation screen when booking and the "manage your booking" (login with PNR) incorrectly show 23kg. CheckMyTrip.com login also shows 23kg.

The QF/JQ websites clearly indicate that the allowance on JQ metal is 20kg, however the inconsistent information provided by the "manage your booking" login does nothing but confuse passengers further, and annoy them when they get stung another 3 kg x $20/kg for JQI.

I e-mailed Qantas and ask that they fix it, but of course they didn't read it carefully and re-assured me that JQ-marketed flights on QF metal have a 23kg limit (but that wasn't the scenario I am complaining about!)

Yet again more inconsistency from the big Q.
