QF luggage woes.

Typical experience at Christmas. Too many people flying with the Kitchen sink and dishes causing baggage issues.

Throw in high temperatures breaking luggage handling at Syd, and everything goes bad.

As I've posted here before, Qantas has delayed my bags SYD-HKG Dec 24 2005, and SYD-SIN Dec 24, 2007. Looking for a repeat MEL-SIN when I leave in a couple of days.

The good side? Qantas/Insurance pays for me to buy some new clothes.

Got my bag back late this arvo (Mon 22/12). Was supposed to return with me on Saturday morning (20/12). Can't really complain I guess, I got it back. TSA lock hadn't even been opened! :)

You are qualified to make this comment provided you travel with both a bunch of work tools and wife + bunch of kids. ;)

Nah my bag made it this time. Probably something to do with giving Qantas 8 hours to transfer it from Dom Qantas @ MEL to Int Qantas @ MEL while I had the F lounge pretty much to myself!

Jal treated my bag properly from SIN-KUL, now on the way back to SIN and sure they'll take good care of it. :)

Hmmm. Work tools? Sometimes attend training or conferences etc with them :D
Wife and Kids? Nah, there are some things in life I'm more than happy to not have...
