Just a heads up that many domestic QF lounges have closed due to the ongoing nonsense caused by you know what. Per the QF Service update website the following lounges are now closed:

The closure of the SYD domestic lounge is obvious a clear loss for yours truly, as a quick jump down to SYD to use the lounge "for essential business purposes" was in order :p

I guess ASP closes now too

Equally interesting to point out that the Chariman's lounge in SYD has now closed up. What a pity! Where are our Premiers and dignitaries supposed to go to socially distance themselves from us riffraff? 😅

Yes, I did know that, force of habit - TVL is the RAAF code for it.
I fully understand. When AFF stopped the flight tracking tool I signed up to FR24 and decided to add all my old RAAF and RAF flights to the import (I was cargo not a pilot). After the first few import attempts I was frustrated that flights were not getting imported as expected and the map had me travelling to all types of places I had not travelled too in that year or at all. I soon worked out that I was was using the three letter abbreviation based on location whereas FF sites use airport codes. It was most problematic in locations that use shared runways such as Williamtown, Edinburgh, Tindal etc. then there are the international ones (shared bases) or places like Diego Garcia which only some can get to.

At least in Australia it's the same ICAO (4 letter) code for the base + airport (ie YWLM is NTL/WLM, YPDN is DRW/DAR, YBTL is TSV/TVL, YPTN is KTR/TDL, YSRI is XRH/RIC, YPLM is LEA/LMO). Not all RAAF bases have IATA codes (the RAAF codes are only used internally so not IATA).

But in places like HNL - they have different ICAO codes for the USAF base - so you have PHNL for the civilian airport and PHIK for Hickham - but it's the same airfield.

It closed at the same time as the other two Sydney lounges (and was removed from the list of 'open' lounges), but somebody just forgot to add it to the 'closed' lounges - fixed now it seems. Would have been a fun time to fly from SYD if everyone were indeed being directed to the CL!

Has anyone attempted accompanying guest access in Sydney F lounge recently?
