Hi,

I have finally achieved LTG. Thanks to this forum and I guess quite a bit of flying I managed to achieve it in 5 yrs of solid travel. I am in India right now so have not seen any letters of congrats from QF yet, I guess they send them out soemtime but I did notice my summary page had my life time status credits disappear. Apart from retaining WP status I guess I have nothing more to achieve in the QF program. Thanks to QF for all those free op-ups when not expecting them, and also my points upgrades coming through a lot of the time, over the past 5 yrs they have been really good for me, I know others might think otherwise but for me they have been brilliant. Cheers to QF and I look forward to the next 5 yrs and beyond.

Congratulations, a wonderful milestone. I think it's important to support your "national " airline. I hope to be flying long enough to achieve LTG also :)

I totally agree. I cannot really pin point why I support Qantas, I just do. NAy negative experience has always been handled by them. I always pass comments back and in a way that hopefully they can use to improve their service. I am th efirst to praise excellent service, and also do the same when my experience is less than expected. I guess they retain my loyalty through a combination of items.

Congratulations!

Wish I was a lot closer than I am, but then I don’t fly nearly as much as you have been, and wish I could.

Guess it’s time for you to update your profile on here then ;)

FF Prog: QF Plat 06 -current - LTS, 93.50% to LTG

Congrats and to do it in 5 years is amazing to me!!!

I've got a super long way to go just to LTS....

5 Years, that's very impressive...
Just out of interest what sort of flying do you do and what class(es) do you normally fly?

Congrats on achieving it in such a short time I will be there next year and it will have taken me 12 years by that stage, but that is life when you stuck in Y thanks to corporate policies even when heading to LOTFAP.

Well done taswegian77!

While there appears to be no way on-line, your LT SC's still appear on your mailed Statements (if you get them).

Well done! Roughly 50 years of flying and I'm still only 50% of LTS.

LTG looks unattainable from here, unless you can get SC's on the way to the great airport in the sky

hi harvyk, i do mainly international travel to Asia (anywhere from India where I am right now across to NZ). Depending on client i can fly the spectrum from business down to economy. (JQ arriving with star class certainly helped the old SC's along). Status also helps when flying Y in regard with blocked seats (that is harder to happen these days). The majority of my travel has been work related as well.

Well done Tas, we all know how hard this is. I have 2.5k to go, so about 3 years off.
In my early days I was a SQ fan and all the points credited to AN, so i missed a headstart there. However it was all good while it lasted.

I am not sure what additional benefit LTG confers? Maybe others here are better placed to answer. In a line ball situation does it fall in your favour?

IE; in the same ticket class and U/G situation does it help?

You would like to think QF have a ranking system that takes it into account.

congrats once again

SPRUCE :mrgreen::cool:;)

Well it'd be below Platinum but you'd like to think above Gold, because you've earnt it for life.

Other than that, you'll always (subject to rules changes) have lounge access and 50% more points on eligible flights.
