QF 'L' fare - earning nothing?

At the end of a long Circle Pacific fare (DCIR22) / itinerary, client put me on a JQ metal flight, on QF codeshare. This had a couple of less than desirable consequences (for me), so I'll pay more attention next time.

Activity for that sector MEL-HBA has now posted to my account, and its apparently earned zilch. No points, no SCs. Mind you, the harvest would have been meagre anyway, but I thought DSCs would be worthwhile.

The fare bucket for this sector was 'L', and on the QF 'earning table' this is defined as QFF earning table :

L (Qantas marketed operated by Jetstar only when travelling on a oneworld® fare)^ Economy

The 'base rate' for points is given a 1 (no cabin bonus), and the ^ is explained:

^ Earn in L class is eligible only when travelling on a oneworld® fare product

OK, so this sector was on QF codeshare, on the same PNR as the rest of the ticket, part of a Circle Pacific fare DCIR22; Circle Pacific I believe is a "1W fare product"? Multi-continent fares - oneworld

So far, is there any reason people can point out that this shouldn't earn base points and SCs, indeed DSC under the current offer?

No reason - seems QF's systems are not up to it.

I would be calling QFF, starting with something like "I have just travelled on a special oneworld fare product, a circle pacific should have earned points and SC's for my L class segment with a Qantas flight number, but on Jetstar".

This hopefully will key the agent to the specific exception from the start, otherwise you run the risk of them trying to wipe you with a generic no earn on JQ spiel and then having to make them backtrack.
 
Thanks again serfty. Will be calling QF; I was pretty sure I was correct, but wanted some re-assurance :) . The approach you suggest will be adopted.

Called. First person I spoke to said no earn due to Jetstar (although I had introed the call re the 1W fare); second person said she could see where I was coming from, and said she would investigate and call back.

10 mins later - got call back, everything sweet. Points & SCs on the account straight away (in fact a bit more than the sector/ fare should have earned :) ).

Tricky fare/operator combination, sorted efficiently.
