Hi everybody.
party of 2 departing MEL to TOKYO on JAL both in business class.
I know i have access to the Marhaba Lounge at MEL but my question is does my class of travel ( J ) on one world partner give me access to the QANTAS International Business lounge .
I'm guessing the QF lounge is superior.
Thanks in advance

Do you have any OneWorld status? If not I dunno if J travel alone is sufficient.

OW J pax are allowed entry to the relevant lounge. In your case QFIntJL in MEL
No guests

Note the specific lounge name in MELInt = QFIntJL (Qantas International Business Lounge)
If you have OW Status such as Sapphire or Emerald, you are eligible with a Y fare

As with any Lounge, final access is controlled by the lounge dragons and may included any reason to not grant access such as capacity controls even though capacity may not be an issue.

Have never been in the Marhaba Lounge, but been in the QF lounge many times. Your expectation may be misplaced.

Oneworld --> Lists: "Access for eligible customers traveling on any oneworld member airline" and "Business Class"
