My partner and I have been invite to a wedding at the last minute in Bali, dates are the 4/06-11/06 I seem to be struggling to find a QF codeshare flight for this trip.

Does anyone know of there being any QF codeshare flights operating, happy to depart Aus from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane if it means we can gain QF status credits and FF points.

Your best option would be to fly Jetstar with the plus bundle, if you really want SCs and FF points. 787 in both directions, plenty of flights ex MEL.

JQ Business class with the max bundle will give you lots of SCs and FF points and is reasonably comfortable too.

Alternatives would be to fly to SIN or CGK with QF, then an LCC across to DPS. Malaysian would also be an option, but the cheaper fares don't earn with QF.

I've flown JQ to Bali in business class on the 787 and it was fine; food was quite nice, seats comfortable. Seats only have limited recline, so not the best for sleeping.

Only thing to watch with Jetstar is their recovery in the event of issues - people have had problems in Bali with interruptions to flights due to volcanic eruptions - JQ is after all an LCC.

This is all sound advice from greenfish.

I just flew to Bali last weekend on Jetstar - economy outbound and business class for the overnight return. The outbound was bearable as I paid the extra $25 to sit in row 10. The overnight return wasn't great, even in business class as the seats are not designed for sleeping in. Food and service good though.

I see that there is a daytime return flight from Bali to Melbourne on 11 June (JQ44) - that's probably your best option for the return leg as most of the other options are overnight flights.

Just make sure you pay the extra for the plus/max bundle to earn QF points/SCs.

Additional to comments by others,
All JQ/QF flights to DPS is on the new plastic fantastic B787

JQ43/44 is a B787 which has a QF codeshare QF 257/256.

Beware it does not have great punctuality

Other than that:

JQ43/44 MEL-DPS-MEL
JQ57/58 BNE-DPS-BNE
JQ37/38 SYD-DPS-SYD.

Just buy the add on to get the FF and SC if via the JQ website
