Don't recall seeing Qantas offering HKG return this discounted in whY.

Travel is Feb-Jun 2019 but if you have any dates ready to or wish to try the 787 ex Mel/Syd.

Ends in 48hrs.

I'm seeing as low as $425 return for anyone wanting to do a same day turn. Decent value with excellent F lounges at both ends.

For few dollars extra can add domestic connection to score some SCs, or even more with magic vouchers ;)

sigh...I just paid $330 ARM to SYD one way. Should buy this fare to make it feel like I got some value for my purchases this weekend:(

The 9 hour overnight return in Y ex Hkg is curbing my desire to book :(

I find doing the odd Y journey helps keep my feet grounded. Never want to have too much of a good thing.
I don't have any problem flying 8-9 hours in Y during the day....it is the overnighter that kills me. Also my favourite the Conrad Macao is a bit expensive for my dates :(

It’s expensive for my dates too so I used 50k points per night. one of the best value use of HH points IMO.

Just did that from HKG to MEL on Thursday night. Stuck in Y since my J upgrade didn't happen. Filled up in the F lounge, four seats to myself in Y and straight to sleep. Quite happy I didn't have to spend the 27k points for a flat bed :)

My strategy is to eat and drink enough at F lounges in AUS and HKG then pass out onboard on both legs ;)
On the return sure but I find a spare seat next to me on the daytime flight is perfect to get some work done, catch up on TV etc. Coming back however your strategy is right on the money imo :)

The stars aligned on my last trip up where checking in for both legs in SYD I was handed my SYD-HKG BP with the pre allocated seat on the 388 along with a J BP for HKG-SYD on the 333.
An OPUP on a $400ish fare with DSC it was one those rare times where I felt I'd taken one back from the airline.

This is an excellent deal. However given I have small kids unfortunately my travel is pretty much dictated by school terms.

Just purchased a trip in May 2019 before the KUL-SIN lounge run.

So a trip to HKG, back to Australia and and then a trip to SIN via KUL.

You all understand. Very few other people understand so very few people outside of this world will hear about it.

The domestic connections were more than a few dollars when I checked earlier. Should have booked an overnight return from Sydney if only to try the new 787.

These cheap prices to HKG are certainly aimed at Virgin and their new route...

We'd just be happy to have the choice of a QF flight to HKG from this part of the world. That said, they'd probably use a 737 to service it...
