I know we always bitca and moan about no news but really this is business as usual NOT an incident.

They dont report every time a LINFOX truck breaks down do they?

That doesn't scare people enough :p

Well a LINFOX truck doesn't usually carry 300 passengers!
... and your point is:?:
A 747 could fly half way around the world on three engines and still have one more functioning engine than a A330 or a B777. It really is not as big a deal as people like to make out.

No they carry massive quantities of all sorts of products and drive on roads carrying millions of people. They help us get, bring us fuel and help us build our homes.

Well my flight from Perth to Melbourne got delayed an hour because of this today. Apparently they decided to keep the 767 I was due to fly on in Perth as they may have needed a part from the engine so the 747 could leave

Seems in the end they didn't need the part, but first time I ever heard such a reason for a delay:!:

Interestingly, it landed in SYD at 23:19... 19 minutes after curfew. Wonder if they got an exemption or are just going to cop the fine.

Bad luck Qantas jet home after scare

Lol. They couldn't do better?

Actually, I'm thinking of renaming them to "Not News"... based on the content they have.

Spoke to someone recently whose daughter started Journo work for Not News a little while ago. Within 3 weeks she had quit because she had become disillusioned with her job and what she was expected to write about... Hmm!

Yes, you are correct.

Now maybe the press can learn left from right.

I think they've got that sorted. It's this port/starboard business that throws them off.

According to The West today, they had expected to be home at around 23:45, and they had been granted an exemption, so no fine to cop.
