What you mean Qantas still fly planes not made by Airbus ?.:rolleyes::rolleyes:.
Stand by for the headlines from No news.

Allegedly the same aircraft that had the oxygen tank "explosion"... obviously cursed ;)

Good thing is that the right thing was done and all are safe.

Outboard on the left is number 1.... unless they're facing the plane head on when deciding left and right

meloz, we stand together in confusion. Do aircrew actually count from R to L, to make port outer the nr 4 engine? Seems odd to sailors like me.
And agree completely with simongr - all well , only an engineering investigation....this time.

Looking forward from the aircraft numbers go L to R.

Looking at the image on no news, it was the outer engine on the Right hand side, i.e no.4 engine

no news had really hyped this story up: Fuel leak forces emergency Qantas plane landing | National Breaking News | News.com.au

A QANTAS jumbo jet - the same plane involved in a frightening mid-air explosion last July - has made an emergency landing in Perth because of a fuel leak.

Qantas has confirmed the plane, which was today flying the QF32 service, was the same ageing aircraft involved in a mid-air explosion over the South China Sea on July 25 last year but denied the incidents were linked.

In that mid-air incident, an oxygen tank exploded and ripped a gaping hole in the plane’s fuselage.

Ouch that's cough journalism.

Glad to hear everyone is safe ... and I'm still puzzling how Qantas were able to put the plane back together again after it was "involved in a frightening mid-air explosion last July". Still, good to know that Qantas has "denied the incidents were linked" (which I somehow believe ;) ). One wonders what they should do with their "ageing aircraft".
