You need to search for flights originating in New Zealand. It should then default to the NZ site.

It's still .com.au Sale First is $899. It's $100 cheaper on EK site.

Have you selected "New Zealand" from the drop down list on the top right-hand corner of the QF home page?

Save the hassle and book in Australian Dollars directly on expedia.com.au for $804.39 less cashrewards 0.80% cashback = $797.95 = $6.65/SC?

I hate playing the currency conversion game on my credit card. I don't get charged any fees but the rate is sometimes less than average.

At that exchange rate you are getting 1.1176 a mere 1c off market.

Including the cashback you are getting it at 1.1266 which is only 0.002 off market.

Had a friend wanting to book MEL-AKL return for 5 pax Boxing Day returning 2nd Jan. whY fares on the usual suspects are circa $750 return sans baggage. Managed to snag EK in J on the QF site MEL-AKL on Boxing Day @ $440 each. They'll be slumming it back on Jet*.

Thanks. We had been debating going to NZ over new years but were struggling to justify the price tag. But happy to pay $860 return in J.

That's a sharp price. Is that the usual sale price for crossing the ditch ex MEL?

Or the shocking departure time from SYD.

9.30am is not too bad. Can stay overnight at Rydges Int then cross the road in the morning for champagne breakfast in the F lounge :)
