Gooday Folks,

I was wondering if anyone knew what is going on with the QF/EK partnership regarding flights out of London to Dubai?

I tried to search on the QF website and Skyscanner, Google Flights etc and I can't find any flights between LHR/LGW and DXB that are EK metal but QF codeshare.

I would like to book flights for this route (mid-April) and earn status credits on it. Does anyone know what is going on?

Cheers

I just did a multi city search on the Qantas website say Sydney-Dubai-London Heathrow-Sydney, I got QF8413, 8001 and 2. The first two flights were codeshare operated by Emirates.

Sometimes there might be restriction on when Qantas is able to claim a codeshare.

A long time ago my Venice to Dubai leg was not a codeshare due to some technicality even though my Dubai to Rome was. This is back in the day when QF1 was routed through Dubai. I remember being annoyed at not getting any status credits for that leg.

Thanks for looking at that.

I do know that there are some routes you can't codeshare like TUN-DXB for example, but this surely is not the case for LHR-DXB?

Also, when I use the online Qantas Status calculator for LHR-DXB, QF comes up as an option to earn status credits.

I may be wrong but thought you could only book it as a tag flight to/from Australia and that you can’t just book LHR-DXB on a QF number

Could it also be that these days with QF flying into SIN as its main hub again that they prefer to put pax via SIN than DXB.
