Hi all,

I'm looking to do a multi sector flight which QF and EK codeshare the whole way (SYD <> DXB and then onwards and back via Dubai).
My preference is to book via the QF number for the status credits.

However when talking to my travel agent (and validated when trying to book direct on Qantas), they have advised that the premium economy leg between Sydney and Dubai is only available in premium economy if booking via EK. I can do all four flights on QF codes in economy and business but not with the main leg in premium economy.

Has anyone worked out a way around this (without booking separate flights? - due to potential connection issues and it being more expensive).

Much appreciated.

Likely more so, its that QF wont sell the partners premY seats.
Dont think its EKs decision.
Its like the SC earn for QFF flying MH J, where you will only earn flexY rates.
No work around.
Flying on an EK flight # in relation to QFF, will only earn very little QFF points, and no QF SC.
Ideally, for premY, QF would prefer pax fly SYD - SIN - LHR on their A380, which does have a premY cabin.
See it as rev protection.

Lucky you they even deigned to sell Y seats on codeshares

When I booked my kids to Lisbon. Nope no QF flight number on Dubai to there - for whatever reason ….
