What does "SC offer" mean?
Does it mean anyone who has received the offer email or anyone who has registered for the offer?
My literal reading of that term as it's set out in the T&Cs is that anyone who has received an offer email from Qantas in the last 180 days would be ineligible. :-|

If that's the case I feel less bad already for registering for the 50% SC offer. Just by sending me the email QF has made me ineligible. Makes me think maybe that's the whole purpose for the 50% SC offer - to make people ineligible for a general double SC offer.

But also:

If you qualify for multiple offers, the offer first-registered for will be applied to each individual qualifying segment.

that wouldn't discount them completely. Just they'd only get the double SC for bookings made after the 50% offer finishes in August, and/or possibly for booking made after the booking period for the 50% offer ends.

Assuming that the exclusion on receiving a previous offer wasn't in place.

Probably already know the answer. But what are peoples experiences with existing booking and wither changing the date or upgrading the fare class and then getting the DSCs.

I really dont get what the issue is about having received an offer previously, either QF want you to book more flights or they don't
They want you to book more flights but then skimp out on paying double SCs?

If you change or cancel your initial qualifying booking and/or travel is completed outside the promotional period, this bonus offer will not apply.
I would like to think a flight upgraded using points would still earn the double status credits, provided it doesn't fall foul of any of the other terms.

Very sneaky by QF burying the 180 day requirement deep in the Ts & Cs. Should expect as much. I got my last offer in early Jan so miss out by a month or so. Would instead be "fairer" (non-QF definition) to say that by registering for this promo you will be ineligible for any further promos for the next 180 days.

Or, cancelling existing booking and re-booking same fare?
Assuming it's cost-effective (taking into account change fees and any fare difference payable) to cancel and rebook then I don't see why you shouldn't be eligible to earn the double status credits on the rebooked flight.

mine says ive registered successfully but i had a 50% offer in january, so I have no idea if it will work.

I'm in exactly the same boat.

Would love to take advantage of this promo, but appears as if I'm ineligible for the bonus SC's due to 50% bonus SC offer , directed to me ( and taken up) in January.

Just saw this this morning, haven't had a DSC offer for probably 5 years and typically made a few bookings last night. Ohh well.

This is the only general double SC offer that I can recall. I feel that 2 in 2-3 months is highly unlikely. But never say never.

There was one a couple of years ago, end of 2013 I think, that applied to everyone. That's how I got to SG for the first time.

I just booked J through Asia on Saturday. Should I ring and try and re-book?
What would you recommend asking the operator to do?

Cheers
