QF Double Status Credits May 2026

If one was to book flights and once completed, they triggered the 50SC loyalty bonus, would you add those 50SC to the SC earn which would then lower your SC/$?

Let's say if those flights weren't taken, your membership year would reset and you wouldn't receive the 50SC loyalty bonus, so by booking those specific flights you receive an additional 50SCs you would otherwise not earn.

Seems like fair economics.

Everyone draws their own line somewhere. For example, one might factor in the accommodation that you might have to pay for overnights involved in a status run, but then again one might argue that stays may contribute to retaining your hotel status so that doesn't really count. Of course, you can always book a status run routing but actually spend decent time at your destination, so it's not so bad after all.
