QF Double Status Credits February 2026 Promo

For your regular, marvel-type film that anyone can purchase, yes. I'm looking at an arthouse film that certain moviegoers can request tickets to.
Tricky given your location, but I’ve found that cinemas at the Gold and Sunshine Coast have frequent changes to their screening times, especially when you book a same day screening at one of the NZ cinemas.

A change to the screening time of one film often makes it difficult to attend the second screening and you need to amend your choice of film, cinema, or screening date.

Ah so you want one of those French films rather than an outback one...

Or else it becomes a horror movie?

I had a session for Crazy Rich Asian that I now turned into a global film festival. I had to beg the computer a whole bunch to get into some of the movies I'm interested in, but it's all settled and I've now seen 2 movies and they came with the bonuses. Sadly the other dozen fall outside of the bonus period so we opted to watch in the competing cinema instead.

I think I did something similar in 2024 going into 2025 as well.

On fare increases - I actually managed to find what I am borderline considering a pricing error ($2300 for PER-LHR in PE / R, ~5.8k total return) which I've just jumped on, so I'm very satisfied with that. Usually each leg is 3.3k ish, ie PER-LHR return in PE is typically $6.5k. This was for one single date where every other day in the 14 day window that QF shows was the regular >$3k pricing.

There is some odd ones available - I snagged a Y sale fare last night DPO-MEL-SIN-LHR return for $2291 - happy days!

Akl-Syd business sale as low as NZD 627...with the favorable excahnge rate to AUD, I grabbed one in late May :)

Well, for the first time ever, I have registered for DSC and actually booked some flights. Not sure that I its going to make much of a difference for me in terms of SC earning, however ...

I had two return Classic Rewards bookings for later in the year so I thought I would take a look and see what might be available for rebooking the same trips under the DSC promo.

Trip 1 was able to rebook with a $68 net refund, and a net cost of 6K points, but more friendly times. So I was happy to "pay" 6K point, and get a refund of $68, and a net gain of 56 SC. But the major benefit for me is the more friendly flight times.

Trip 2 was able to rebook with a $67 net refund, and a net cost of 14.6K points, but significantly more friendly times. direct flights both ways rather than a connection in the outbound, and a net gain of 48 SC. The change to a direct flight outbound was a Classic Plus bookings, but at a reasonable points cost.

But the outcome of earning an extra 104 SCs for a net cost of a little over 20K points is poor value, especially as those SCs will be unlikely to make any material difference to my status now or any time in the future. I will receive a net refund of $135, which is nice, but hardly worth the forfeit of 20K points, But I have found more friendly flight times for all sectors of both trips, so that is the major win for me - the $$$ refund and extra SCs are secondary for me.
