QF Double Status Credits February 2026 Promo

Hmmm… booked for Dec using CR+ which is eligible for SC and DSC as I’m PCP+ but new SC program coming in later this year - I assume bookings made now will be “grandfathered”…

Yes. Depending on your anniversary date, could be until late next year or some are even trying to push 2028.

Either way, should be ok for the travel period of this promo.

After a long and tense chat with Qantas CS, they are able to give me MEL-SYD-CBR J CR at the expected 19,300 pts price! They stuck to their guns for the international CGK-MEL/SYD-CBR itinerary saying "it's not available on a connecting itinerary" so I decided to just pay a (imo) cheap J cash one-way ($1600)

Just to confirm, if I don't plan on requalifying PC, CR flights taken on the last day of the month of my membership year (e.g. 31 August if status valid til Aug 2026, 31 Jul if Jul 2026, 30 Jun if Jun 2026 etc.) still gives SCs right?

If you're still PC at the time of flying, then yes, you'd earn SC on those flights.

It's safe to say that you'd still be PC on the last day of your membership year right?
Yep.

If you requalified last member year, but have not requalified this member year, then your PC membership is valid till the last day of your current member year.

Thanks for confirming. The SCs from these CR flights would get me over the line for SG requal, but they're done on the last day of the month of my status expiry, so will cut it hyper close.

Well, in the end, I managed to find a half decent PC+ CR status run from CBR in September.

Business Class CBR-SYD-BNE-MKY R/T for 58,000 pts and $500, giving a return of 224 SC.

But relatively good* for whY.

Add in a much maligned CR+ when they're cheaper than CR and you can do worse.

*I suspect they did the poorer earn on F/J cabins deliberately to prevent card churners racking up status on premium award seats...

My dilemma is whether to go to Thailand over the Xmas break in J (CBR-SYD-BKK for 590SC's) OR I can go to Oman in the Christmas break in J and while the BKK-MCT wouldn't be double SC's... I'd still earn extra SC's for the same price the airfare is the same price..... Do I want to eat massaman or kebabs for 2 weeks :-) I did look at a weekend in NZ again or there are some cheap J flights to the South pacific over the NY period. I've had decent weather in Tonga and New Caledonia the past 2 years but neither destination really thrilled me that much.

I earned around 450 SC this current membership year on CR. A OWA with DSC that has extra flying to NZ just because we had the extra segments and miles was where the bulk of it came from.
