Once I have activated the offer on Qantas.com, can I book tickets on trip.com and earn DSC?
Thanks.
Flights can be booked via the Qantas website including the Qantas App, a travel agent, or Qantas Contact Centres.
Welcome to the new era of SGs going to the back of the bus after being gazumped by Qantas plus seat feesI must have missed it, but what happened to free seat selection as QF Gold??? As QF Gold on CX, I can always select an extra legroom seat at no cost... What an enhancement...

Doesn't relate to a specific status run flight but during 2019 when I was doing return trips to China monthly (literally 12 trips that year back and forth), I got grilled upon arrival in Melbourne mid-way through the year. "Who paid for your flights?", "What are you doing there?" etc etc,. I explained my role and that they are all business trips paid for by the business and asked the guy directly if there was a problem that needed sorting, he just said no, all good and off I went. Haven't been pulled aside since so I doubt a same day or short turn over return flight will raise any red flags, if there's no pattern to raise suspicions. No need to be nervous about it as you're doing absolutely nothing wrong. The reality is that Border Force may flag your travel pattern and ask for more info, but as mentioned by @1A Please they'll ultimately wave you through without issue. As a data point, see the post below for what happened to me during my 3 x back-to-back OOL>AKL return trips over 4 days last September. Your single return trip will barely raise an eyebrow.

What an amateur, AFFers clearly knows that you only need 114 flights.115 flights to go from Bronze to P1? Pfft. Rookie attempt

I was looking at Helsinki to Tallinn status runs, only 15,000 flights required for Lifetime Platinum but alas Finnair operated so not eligible for DSC which would drop it to 7,500 flightsSomeone needing 115 DSC flights to reach P1 cannot be an AFF reader.
Good run recommendation. Are you retaining or earning WP? Calculating SC earn, this gets approx 880 SC only, isn't it?Just made my booking, will be an interesting first status run. Had to split the NZ trip into 2 tickets.
MEL-SYD-CHC wasn't the best value at $4.64 / SC but the crazy return routing of CHC-SYD-AKL-BNE-MEL came out at $2.90/SC which I was pretty happy with.
Overall $3.41/SC and will get me to platinum which will be great for some international trips planned for next year.
Anyone kept a track of how much fares have increased for this DSC promotion?
Earning WP, Already have 530SC from recent travel to the US mainly. This trip should earn me 860SC and push me over the loyalty bonus for another 50SC.Good run recommendation. Are you retaining or earning WP? Calculating SC earn, this gets approx 880 SC only, isn't it?
The first rule of fight clubIs this another fight club like situation (yes or no will do)
I get that it’s QF metal but from OP’s post it’s, booked and ticketed by AA, so not on 81- stock. So not a QF CR that would be eligible for points club SCs.
Overnight in CHC ?Just made my booking, will be an interesting first status run. Had to split the NZ trip into 2 tickets.
