Sitting in the MEL F lounge awaiting MEL-PER on QF9 and have denied a spa treatment as i am a domestic passenger, it got me thinking If this is a domestic flight then can I guest 2 people into the lounge irregardless of whether they are flying Qantas or not as per WP entitlements.

For consistency in treatment should the same rules apply as they do when doing the same flight but from a domestic terminal?

Interested in every ones thoughts :)

Agreed but based on WP entitlement do they need to be on a QF and or OW flight. :) Given it is a domestic leg and a WP can guest 2 people in to the lounge when flying domestically should they be able to do so when departing an international terminal.

Qantas tells me I am being treated a s domestic passenger not as in International, cant have it both ways LOL

This is all tongue in cheek just posing a question about consistency with the rules and intentions of WP Benefits :)

Now don't push it too far Ansett... :)

IME the MEL F-lounge staff are usually very nice and can even be a bit flexible at times...

I'd think that 2 guests also traveling domestically on QF9 might be OK... (although the domestic rule is that guests need not be traveling). Strictly, the lounge access rule probably applies which varies from lounge to lounge.

Your other option I suppose would be to first use the domestic J lounge with your guests. But that's a bit late once you are at the F-lounge entrance.
