QF "does a Nigel"

They did this on my BA CDG-LHR flight last month. I was in 1D. My laptop bag was tagged for "under the seat"

... under what seat?

I always tell the person tagging my bag that I'm in 1A etc and show the BP again. The tag doesn't get put on the bag.
The same should work for QF.

The person tagging the bag was the person who had just checked me in and printed the boarding pass.

Sure they could enforce the rules but the rules go out to 2 x 105cm bags or 1 of those and a suit pack etc.
Way too generous for domestic 737's and/or A320's.

Halve it. And possible reduce the size as well.
