Hi,

I am looking at a business class trip from Sydney to Paris CDG via KL with Malaysia Airlines - the seats are available but I only have enough points for a standard classic award not a OneWorld.

Is there any way of knowing or is there a site that helps you calculate what the taxes will be for a classic award before ringing up? Malysia isn't available on the online classic awards search engine so can't calculate that way.

Also a query on the classic awards rules - can you have a stopover in KL or just 24 hours maximum layover? Would be great if could have a stopover as have never been to Malysia.

Thanks,
Dale.

I use bestflights - plug in your intended itinerary and class and select MH as your preferred carrier. When bestflights returns the results it gives you the totalplus breakdown. I have found it to be pretty much spot on for QF flights at least. If you wanted something more accurate you could use itamatrix (.com i think, but it comes up on google). Again plug in all your details and it will give you the breakdown of taxes and YQ. make sure you select AU as the ticketing origin.
