It appears that the promised jobs to the Hobart QF Call Centre won't be happening with reports that Hobart will become the "Premium" Call Centre and Auckland becoming the main Call Centre. The Tas Govt promised $10m in assistance and payroll tax relief to QF and if the reports are correct there will only be an additional 70 positions in HBA.

Qantas accused of sending more call-centre jobs overseas

Not a huge surprise really considering most companies have already had overseas call centres for years. I actually think Auckland isn't too bad a compromise - wages are a little bit lower (so cost savings are to be had) while the impact on customer service would be minimal.

That being said, I would prefer to speak to an Australian when phoning Qantas.
