I’ve done domestic app check in and love it, but if I do it for NZ do I need to get a paper boarding pass or can I just go straight through customs? (Will customs accept my digital pass is really my question) I’m HLO so I don’t ‘need’ to see anyone now I’m checked in.

If your dom checkin included the NZ sector then you have a BP and wont need a printed one - just make sure you use one of the auto passport/photo booths on intl departure. Pretty sure thats right...
