I have noticed of late that QF have been canceling their fare share to/from flights out of PER. (This is the info from the Perth Airport site)

Today QF77/QF72 were cancelled, and the QF67/68 due to HKG seem to have been cancelled from time to time of late.

Are loads that low (to SIN) that merging the two flight loads is the most viable option, or are the A330's going tech more often than not?

What is happening to QF at PER, is it just normal airline activity made to look worse due to the minimal presence QF has (compared to places like SYD, MEL etc) at PER?

I have noticed recently when booking SYD-SIN and vv the QF website offers the flight(s) via PER when doing a multi-city booking and allowing the search engine to recommend flights.

I transited PER to/from SIN a few times a several years ago and the loads seemed reasonable. Also transited PER from HKG back in September and the flight was xlose to full.

It would be interesting to see international passenger statistics for PER broken down by airline. Has QF lost market share out of PER? Is it more a case of the A333's requiring more maintenance?

I suspect it's more noticable in PER than SYD/MEL/BNE but it happens everywhere. One ponders what they do with the A330 if it stays in PER rather than heading to SIN, given it'll be needed in SIN to return to PER unless another flight is cancelled also?

As mentioned by the OP both flights were cancelled yesterday.

Cancellations were probably owing to the new timetables for the Northern Hemisphere Summer Season eff March 29.

I know at the end of March QF67 departure changed from 9:30am to 11pm so you can connect with same day flights to China

Cannot comment on QF77 - perhaps aircraft not available due to maintainence
