Hi all

Have an upcoming QF flight to lax on the 787 in premium economy.

Currently sitting in a normal window seat, though I Have the option of an aisle or bulkhead as well.

Want to know what people's opinion is on the above and pros and cons.

Cheers!

Bulkhead is best as you don't have someone reclining into you, and the pitch is very, very tight on the QF 787 PE.

I agree - bulkhead would be the choice if you have it. IIRC the footrest flicks up to give you a horizontal surface? If not, you can also use your cabin bag after takeoff to give you a full horizontal legrest with your whole leg supported. With the exception of a little less recline you basically have a first class seat from the 80s!

Correct about it flicking up to horizontal. I think you can actually have it set at less than horizontal too from memory.

Go for bulkhead. I looked at it longingly from the row behind on my last LAX-BNE flight on the 787.

Both sides of the bulkhead row are blocked and qf call centre couldn't allocate me to bulkhead :( said I will have to check at check in..

Confirm bulkhead is the go, the footrest works on a sort of ratchet system so you have some options, I'm 6"3" and had a reasonably comfortable trip SYD-HKG, otherwise I'd be going Window and building a pillow next as the next best option, possibly last row to not worry about reclining early(not that people seem to worry about tat at all....)
